Riichi Copenhagen Open 2004
Saturday October 16th 2004 a tournament in modern Japanese mahjong, Riichi, was arranged by Mahjong Denmark.
Place: Copenhagen. Once again Lars Nikolajsen generously let us play the tournament in his enormous flat.
Time schedule:
11:30 Deadline for payment of registration fee (9 €, includes lunch and dinner)
11:30 The rules are explained
12:00 Beginning of preliminary rounds
18:30 The final begins
Six qualification rounds with one round wind only. Dealer and seat winds always rotate.
The four players with the highest total after six rounds play the final.
The final is played with our standard riichi rules. Two rounds: east and south as round winds.
