MCR Aarhus Open 2008

• Qualification competition for Danish players for OEMC 2009

Time: Saturday February 9th 2008, 11:00 am to 10 pm.
Place: Universitetsbaren, Ndr. Ringgade 3, Studenternes Hus, Bygn. 422, 8000 Århus C.



Registration: Before February 1st 2008.
Registration fee: 200DKK or 28€ to be payed on the morning of the tournament. Includes free bar for a limited amount of time (until we've used up 3000 Danish Kroner). There will be some bread, fruit and snacks during the tournament.
Rules: Mahjong Competition Rules (MCR) published by the World Mahjong Organization in July 2006. The MCR are available as a pdf-file in English language at chinamajiang.com
Tournament rules: Four rounds of 120 minutes are played. Table winners are awarded 4 points, 2 points go to number 2 and 1 point to number three at each table.
There will be a team competition. Send the name of your team of four to Anders Labich labich@mahjong.dk. Remaining players will be placed into teams by the organizers.
Time Schedule:

• 11:00 - 11:30: Registration
• 11:30 - 13:30: First round
• 14:00 - 16:00: Second round
• 16:15 - 18:15: Third round
• 18:30 - 20:30: Fourth round
• 20:30 - 22:00: Dinner and prizes

Staying in Aarhus: City Sleep In Aarhus, Cab Inn Aarhus Hotel, Get In Jens Baggesensvej 43 (200 m. from the venue).
Parking in Aarhus: There is a parking lot just behind the building of the tournament.
